This course provides guidelines and information about the role, responsibilities, and day-to-day issues faced by teaching assistants (TAs) while working in online courses.
Although the main responsibilities of the TA include grading, troubleshooting, and answering student questions the role has evolved to a must-have component of any online course. We believe teaching assistants are an inseparable part of online courses and they provide added human touch to teaching / learning process. The TA often provides a friendly face for students and is a key link between the students and teacher. Thus, the TA has tremendous influence on the quality of education that an online course offers.
